about me
Hey there, I’m Kaitlin.
I’m a lover of adventure in all forms.
A lover of adventure in all the forms that tend to take over a perfectly reasonable weekend: diving the underwater world, getting lost in a new city, tracking down a great craft beer or cocktail, solving a good puzzle. And travel. Always travel.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California, and grew up with travel woven into my life from an early age. My dad worked in tech and traveled constantly, which meant I was that kid on long-haul flights before I even fully understood where I was going. The older I get, the harder staying put becomes.
My 9-5 is in consulting, which means most weeks are spent on the road before returning to Washington, DC, which I now call home. Travel, for me, is not a break from real life. It is real life.
Over time, I’ve become the person who naturally gravitates toward planning: mapping out itineraries, finding the right place for the right price, and knowing when spending more actually changes the trip. A good itinerary makes the trip feel real before it even begins. That anticipation is part of the experience.

Why the adventure edit?
I believe travel is not about ticking destinations off a list, though that part is undeniably satisfying. Spend time somewhere that operates differently from where you grew up. You notice something shifts. What counts as a good meal, how people spend a Sunday, what an entirely different version of ordinary looks like. It is not a dramatic shift, just a quiet one that tends to stick.
The Adventure Edit is where all of that lands.
It’s a space for thoughtfully planned travel, real experiences, and trips that fit into a real life without sacrificing the quality or excitement of the journey. Whether it is a long weekend or a bigger international adventure, the goal is a trip that never feels like a half-measure of what it could have been.
